Tableau is a frozen depiction of a scene from a literary work, using facial expressions, body language, and props to convey the story’s emotions and themes. It encourages creativity and imagination and develops teamwork and communication skills. It also enhances literary understanding and appreciation and further it builds confidence and public speaking skills. By exploring literary tableaus, students can deepen their understanding of literary works while developing essential skills in creativity, communication, and teamwork.

The English club of our school organized Tableau competition to the students of English club on 26th October 2024 in the school auditorium. A total of 101 students in 15 teams from classes VI – IX participated enthusiastically. The teams had chosen scenes from various literary works. Mr. Thomas, HOD, English department and Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari, English faculty (XI & XII) were the judges for the competition. The tableau competition was a resounding success, showcasing the students’ creativity, teamwork, and passion for literature. The English Club looks forward to organizing more events that promote dramatic expression and literary appreciation.
