STATE LEVEL CRICKET TOURNAMENT

Salem Soars to State-Level Glory Fuelled by the Brilliant Play of SPS’s Young Cricket Star, Master K. Thanav!

We are elated to share that Master K. Thanav of Class IX of our school, played a pivotal role in the Salem District Under-14 Boys' Cricket Team, which emerged champions in the Tamil Nadu Under-14 Inter-District Cricket Tournament, organized by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association.

The tournament, held in Chennai, brought together top-performing young cricketers from across the state. The much-anticipated final match, held on 15th July 2025, saw the Salem District team face off against Kanchipuram District. In a stunning performance, the Salem team secured a remarkable victory by 229 runs, earning the coveted first place at the state level.

On their return, the team received a hero’s welcome at Salem Junction Railway Station, where they were honoured by the District Cricket Association, led by Secretary Babu Kumar, Joint Secretary Rajiv, and other officials.

Master K. Thanav, known for his passion and skill in cricket, made significant contributions to the team’s success. His commitment, sportsmanship, and consistent performance highlight the strength of cricketing talent nurtured at Senthil Public School.
