Senthil Public School, Salem

             Senthil Public School, Salem, celebrated the spirit of cultural diversity through Rhapsody’24, a spectacular event held on 23rd November 2024 at the Kandasamy Convention Hall. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri A. Velmurugan, TPS, M.Sc., B.Ed., Deputy Commissioner of Police, Salem, as the Chief Guest.

             In his inaugural address, Shri K. Dhanasekar, Secretary of Senthil Public School, emphasized the crucial role parents play in shaping children’s futures. He highlighted that parents should focus on raising children who are tech-savvy, safety-conscious, socially aware, and disciplined. He also stressed the importance of parents spending quality time with their children, helping them distinguish between right and wrong, and instilling financial responsibility. According to him, the collaborative efforts of parents, school, and society play an integral role in molding well-rounded individuals.

             Shri A. Velmurugan, in his address, commended both the students and teachers for their dedication and hard work. He emphasized the importance of discipline and perseverance in students’ lives and urged the children to say no to drugs, alcohol, and unsafe practices like not wearing helmets while driving. He further shared valuable insights with the children, encouraging them to pursue knowledge, as it is the key to empowerment. The Chief Guest also captivated the audience with engaging stories that highlighted the values of honesty and integrity.

             During the event, several students were honored with prizes for their achievements in art and craft, recitation, writing competitions, and sports. The awards were presented by the distinguished guests, who congratulated the winners for their outstanding efforts.

             The highlight of Rhapsody’24 was the series of cultural performances by students of Classes 3 to 5, which added a vibrant touch to the celebration. These energy-packed performances showcased the students' creativity, dedication, and teamwork. The audience was thoroughly enthralled by the colorful presentations, which were a testament to the hard work put in by both students and teachers. The event provided a wonderful platform for children to express themselves and shine in the limelight, earning accolades from the appreciative crowd.

             Rhapsody’24 proved to be a fitting tribute to the legacy of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, by fostering an environment of creativity, unity, and cultural awareness among the students.
