We, the Montessori wing of SPS Salem celebrated Fruits Salad Day on 28/07/2023(Friday). With an objective to create awareness among children about the importance of consumption of fruits in regular diet, we scheduled Fruits project for the months June-July.
Children prepared salad as per the guidance of teachers during morning break and relished it. In the afternoon session, two environments together displayed their alloted fruits in stalls and children dressed up accordingly explained the preparation of salad and benefits of fruits with great zest, enthusiasm and vigour, enjoying the moments of joy and happiness in the company of their mates & teachers. Furthermore, they sold the prepared salad at the cost of Rs.10/- to the invitees. Our Dynamic Correspondent Mrs. Deepthi Dhanasekar and Honourable Principal Dr. Manoharan graced the occasion with their presence and acknowledged the hard work done by the Montessori Category. In a nutshell, kids were found to be quite thrilled and were positive on the fact that fruits are better than junk foods. The entire celebration had a resounding success.
