Children of this generation dislike and avoid having traditional and nutritious food. In order to make them understand the importance of our food and develop their culinary interest and skills, we had a "Food exhibition" where Class 5 children displayed various traditional dishes made by them out of millets. The celebration of the International year of Millets was a part of their Tamil lesson "Unavai Veenakathey". The children of Classes 3 & 4 enjoyed getting many insights about the dishes.
