CANCER DAY DRAWING COMPETITION

16-Feb-2025

Turning awareness into art – Every picture tells a story of prevention!

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) - Salem Ladies Club organized a World Cancer Day Drawing Competition on 16th February 2025 (Sunday) at 5 PM at the IMA Hall, Salem. This event was conducted to raise awareness about cancer and emphasize the importance of prevention, aligning with the theme “Cancer – Prevention is Better than Cure.” The competition aimed to encourage young minds to express their understanding of cancer prevention through art, highlighting the critical role that awareness plays in combating the disease.

Students from various schools participated in the event, exhibiting their artistic talents and thoughtful perspectives on the theme. Students from our school made a remarkable impact with their creative interpretations. G.C. Mukesh, a student of Class XI, secured the 1st Prize, while V.J. Arush, a student of Class IV, earned the 2nd Prize, demonstrating exceptional artistic skills and a deep understanding of the competition’s purpose.

The dedication and guidance of our drawing teachers have been instrumental in shaping the artistic abilities of our students. Their continuous support and encouragement played a vital role in helping the participants prepare for the competition and present their best work. We consistently strive to provide platforms for students to participate in such meaningful events. By encouraging participation in competitions that promote social awareness and creative expression, the school continues to foster holistic development among its students.
