A sandwich may seem simple, but it’s a canvas for creativity, a lesson in nutrition and a bite-sized celebration of learning.
In the heart of our Montessori class, where little minds are curious and eager to explore, we celebrated Vegetable Sandwich Day This delightful occasion was not just about relishing the flavors of a sandwich but also about weaving in the valuable lessons learnt related to vegetables. We modeled a Tiny Tots Vegetable Market in which the children depicted themselves as farmers and sold the vegetables. We had about 15 vegetable shops with various kinds of vegetables and green leaves.
🌽 Children saw different types of vegetables and learnt about their colors, shapes, tastes, smells, and textures.
🌽 Children also learnt about the purchase and sale of vegetables, and how money is involved. Overall, it was a wonderful experience to children.
🌽 As the children devoured their sandwiches, they not only satisfied their taste buds but also nourished their growing bodies and minds.
